My view of art is the thinking and practice based on reflection of life. Either prairie-themed printmaking of earlier times or recent oil paintings attempt to reveal the existence and spiritual status of human beings in the context of today's turbulent society by discussing the relationships between people and nature, between people and people, and between people and society. It is like not only the vying and struggling lost in the desire, but also obstruct expression of escape and runaway after coming back to conscientiousness. Although symbolic techniques and surreal factors lead to the ambiguity and uncertainty of the connotation of the works, it seems that they refer to the realistic choice and situation of all of us. It is more about real expression of self existence and "being here".
Song Guangzhi

His works were awarded of Bronze Medal at the Twelfth National Exhibition of Fine Arts, Silver Medal at the Fourteenth National Exhibition of Printmaking, Bronze Medal at the Fifteenth National Exhibition of Printmaking, Silver Medal at the Seventh National Exhibition of 3 Types of Print Art, and award of Lu Xun Printmaking. My creation mainly focuses on the commonalities of human beings in a self-examination manner. Who am I? What am I doing? why? These questions are those I often think of. Either regional materials or series of seekers reflects my thinking of life in the form of question. I'm obsessed with using surreal techniques to build and weave a personal visual password. The works are extended in a story that can not be finished. The offset or uncertainty of this extension has prompted me to surpass rationalism in my creation. How to record my ideas visually is exactly the pleasure of my artistic creation.
China Print Art Studios Union
China Print Art Studios Union was established by independent print art studios from different regions in 2006. Its main members are not only print artists who have experienced the transition of Chinese printmaking art trend and are widely recognized by the academic community and the public, but also educational artists who work in domestic fine arts colleges and universities. Since its establishment more than ten years ago, the Union has promoted printmaking art exhibitions with the theme of "Being Here" in art galleries and art institutions in Beijing, Shanghai and Hubei respectively.
