作为西班牙画坛18、19世纪重要代表人物的戈雅，既被公认为是一位卓越的油画家，同时也以其精湛的版画技艺而被看作是近代版画的重要奠基人。尤其是他的版画系列《战争的灾难》和《奇想集》，以其独特的表现手法和犀利的批判现实主义精神而广为人知。
戈雅的作品极少来到中国，此次在广东美术馆展出的这两组版画系列，共计160幅，皆为意大利著名收藏家朱塞佩•马里诺先生所藏，于2012年有幸受邀在北京国际双年展期间作为特展在北京进行了首次展出。广东美术馆本次“战争与奇想——弗郎西斯科•戈雅版画展”将给我们呈现戈雅复杂而深刻的艺术形式和主题，以及其多方面的杰出才华。戈雅的作品所体现的道德性、美学性和对主题把握的敏锐性都是非常超前的，即便在今天也不失其深远的现实意义。本次来自西方美术界大师的作品展览将会让广东的观众感受并领略到西班牙版画艺术的精髓与风貌。

Preface
As the representative figure of the 18th and 19th century Spanish painting, Goya is considered as an outstanding maestro of oil painting in all of the world and also as an important figure who has laid the foundation for modern print-making with his impeccable techniques. His etching series of The War and Capriccio are well known widely in the world with his particular techniques of expression and realistic and critical spirit.
Goya’s works are rarely seen in China. This exhibition consists of about 160 pieces of two series etchings owned by the Italian collector Giuseppe Marino. These works were shown for the first time in Beijing during the Beijing International Biennale as a special invitational exhibition in 2012.
The War and Capriccio Etching Series of Francesco Goya presented in the Guangdong Museum of Art highlights his sophisticated and profound artistic skills and subjects and demonstrates his artistic talents in many aspects. The morality, and the aesthetics and his acuity expressed in his works are so far sighted that they still have profound significance today.These works offer a precious opportunity for the audience in Guangdong to appreciate and understand the charm and essence of the great Spanish maestro’s works.
