Yang Quan Library
杨铨文库
Yang Quan (1898-1967), originated from Heshan, Guangdong Heshan and lived in Hong Kong, committed his life to collecting cultural relics and was the owner of "Yang Shede's". After the founding of the New China, he donated all of 6,200 cultural relics he collected to the country and received certificate of merit from the Ministry of Culture and the Guangzhou People's Government. Mayor Zhu Guang made an inscription, praising him for "donating all his collected cultural relics to the country and converting private collections into public ones for promoting the grand moral virtue". Guangdong Museum of Art attained these collections of Mr. Yang Quan at the beginning of its opening. These collections were among all collections that Guangdong Artists Association handed over to Guangdong Museum of Art as a whole. In the official opening of the Humanities Library, we filtered these collections from those donated by Guangdong Artists Association and established a specific library for exhibiting all of Mr. Yang Quan's collections. There are about 1,188 books at Yang Quan Library.
