广东美术馆关于征集美术文献的通告

 广东美术馆建成于1997年,是首批国家重点美术馆,是一所集收藏、研究、陈列展览、教育、交流、服务六大功能于一体的现代多功能艺术博物馆。
 
广东美术馆自建馆以来,一直十分重视美术文献的征集、保护、整理、研究和传播工作。广东美术馆美术文献研究中心收藏了以近现代岭南美术文献为核心的历史文献史料4万余种,目前设有“黄志坚中国近现代美术文库”“杨铨文库”“鹤田武良中国近现代美术文库”“沙飞暨中国摄影史研究文库”“广东省美术家协会捐赠文库”。
 
美术文献研究中心自2021年升级以来,为更好地推动馆藏文献的活化利用,通过对馆藏文献的梳理、研究,自主策划了多个馆藏文献展,取得了良好的社会反响,如:“笔墨长随日月新——黄志坚捐赠美术文献展”“拓荒者——20世纪广东美术进程中的胡根天”“交融的激流:广州影像三年展文献展”“化作通变——第七届广州三年展文献展”等文献展览,并于2023年启动特藏文献数字化项目,逐步推动馆藏文献信息资源的开放共享。
 
2024年5月,白鹅潭大湾区艺术中心的落成开馆为广东美术馆带来新的发展空间和机遇。白鹅潭新馆区专设全天24小时监控恒温湿的文献库房,配备专业文献消杀间、整理间、文献数字化采集设备等。希望通过美术馆这个公益平台,能够更全面、系统地收藏、保留相关历史文献,把更多的文化记忆变成全社会共享的资源,以利于当下及后世研究和学习,弘扬中华优秀文化。为此,广东美术馆现面向海内外及社会各界广泛征集美术文献,如有藏品入选,我们将对捐赠者予以铭记及多种形式的奖励。广东美术馆对您的支持和参与表示诚挚的感谢与敬意!相关事项通告如下:
 
一、征集内容
 
(一)古籍文献
反映岭南地区美术发展状态的相关典籍。
(二)近现当代文献
1. 围绕广东美术、中国近现代美术、当代艺术、海外华人美术和国际美术等五个板块的各个时期重要事件、重要人物、重要馆藏的相关各类文献资料。
2. 馆史相关文献:在各个时期与广东美术馆建设,活动,展览等相关的文献资料。
(三)外国文献
1. 反映世界艺术与中国美术交流,共同发展的相关文献。
2. 反映世界各地区近现当代美术发展的重要文献。
(三)非正式出版物
1. 反映中国美术发展进程的非正式出版物。
2. 反映广东地区美术发展、文化传承等方面的非正式出版物。
 
二、征集类别
 
(一)古籍文献:古籍、拓片、舆图、手稿、照片等。
(二)近现当代美术文献:
1. 报刊、书籍等正式出版物类;
2. 著名艺术家或学者的著述、藏书等等;
3. 文件、通知文书、信函、手稿、日记、科研笔记、传单等档案资料;
4. 照片、胶片、拷贝、录像带、录音带、光盘等音像制品类;
5. 重要代表证、出席证、证件、证书、印信、徽章、奖状等证章类;
6. 重大事件亲历者的口述史料或回忆录;
7. 美术资料汇编、论文集、活动致辞、规章制度、规划方案、科研报告等。
 
三、征集要求
 
(一)保证藏品来源的合法性,提供人对藏品的合法性承诺负有法律和经济责任。
(二)提供人所提供的藏品信息必须是未进入任何单位征集流程的藏品。
(三)收到我馆征集确认结果后不得将该批次藏品信息提供给第三方。
文献征集流程应按照《广东美术馆藏品征集管理办法》规定的程序进行,所有确定征集意向的藏品需按照规定完成所有流程后,方可签订相关协议。
 
四、征集方式
 
(一)严格按照《中华人民共和国文物保护法》《中华人民共和国文物保护法实施条例》《中华人民共和国慈善法》《博物馆条例》等法律法规进行。
(二)广东美术馆设立“文献征集管理委员会”,加强和规范对藏品的征集活动管理,具有征集收藏的最终决策权。
(三)经过“文献征集管理委员会”鉴选决定收藏后,广东美术馆将与捐赠人签订捐赠协议,就拟捐赠资料的收藏保管、研究利用,以及整理开发等方面权益的归属及使用进行约定,涉及著作权授权的,同时签订授权文件。捐赠资料一经登记接收,广东美术馆将向捐赠者颁发捐赠证书,以资感谢,并以适当方式予以铭记和奖励。
(四)我馆不接受现场实物鉴选,请勿向我馆邮寄拟捐赠的实物,敬请理解。

Guangdong Museum of Art’s Announcement on Collecting Art Literature 
 
Established in 1997, Guangdong Museum of Art (hereinafter referred to as “the museum”) is one of the first batch national key art museums. It is a modern multi-functional art museum integrating six functions including collection, research, display and exhibition, education, exchange and service.
 
Since its establishment, the Museum has been giving top priority to the collection, organization, protection, research and communication of art literature. The Art Literature Research Centre has collected more than 40,000 kinds of historical literature with modern Lingnan art literature as core documents, including Huang Zhijian Chinese Modern Art Archive, Yang Quan’s Archive, Tsuruta Takeyoshi’s Chinese Modern Art Archive, Sha Fei and Chinese Photography History Research Archive, and Donated Archive of Guangdong Artists Association.
 
Since the upgrading of the Art Literature Research Centre in 2021, the Centre has independently curated a number of exhibitions of collected literature through thorough organization and research with an aim to facilitate better utilization of collected literature. Many of the exhibitions have been well received by the general public, such as Art and Writing Renew with Time: Huang Zhijian Donated Art Literature Exhibition, Pioneer: Hu Gentian in the process of 20th Century of Guangdong Art History, Art Literature Exhibition of Intermingling Flux: Guangzhou Image Triennial, and Art Literature Exhibition of Symphony of All the Changes: the 7th Guangzhou Triennial, etc. The Center has also started the digitization project of special collection literature in 2023, and phases inopening and sharing information resources of collected literature.
 
In May 2024, the inauguration of the Bai’etan Greater Bay Area Art Centre(hereinafter referred to as “the centre”has created opportunities for Guangdong Museum of Art for its future development.The museum's new venue in the Centre is equipped with a 24-hour constant temperature and humidity monitored literature storage room, provided with professional literature disinfection room, organization room, and digital collection equipment for literature. The museum is expected to serve as a public welfare platform for more comprehensive and systematic collection and preservation of relevant historical documents, turning more cultural memories into resources to be shared by the whole society, so as to facilitate the research and study of the present and future generations, and to promote excellent Chinese culture. To this end, Guangdong Museum of Art is now open to the world for collection of relevant art literature. Donors will be acknowledged and rewarded in a variety of ways should their donation is accepted. Guangdong Museum of Art wishes to express its sincere gratitude and respect for your support and participation! Details are provided as follows:
 
I. Contents of Collection
 
1. Classical Literature
Related texts reflecting the state of art development in Lingnan region
 
2. Modern and contemporary Literature
a. Various kinds of literature and materials related to major events, important figures and important collections in each period of time in five sections, including Guangdong Art, Modern Chinese Art, Contemporary Art, Overseas Chinese Art and International Art.
b. Literature related to the history of the museum: literature related to the construction, events and exhibitions of Guangdong Museum of Art in various periods.
 
3. Foreign Literature
a. Literature demonstrating exchanges between and common development of world art and Chinese art.
b. Important literature in reflection of modern and contemporary art development in different regions of the world.
 
4. Non-official Publications
a. Non-official publications in reflection of the development of Chinese art.
b. Non-official publications in reflection of art development and cultural inheritance in Guangdong region.
 
II. Categories of Collection
 
1. Classical Literature: antique books, topographies, atlases, manuscripts, photographs, etc.
2. Modern and Contemporary Art Literature:
a. Newspapers, books and other official publications;
b. Writings and collections of renowned artists or scholars;
c. Documents, circulars, letters, manuscripts, diaries, scientific notes, leaflets and other archival materials;
d. Photographs, films, copies, videotapes, audiotapes, compact discs and other audiovisual products;
e. Important credentials such as representative cards, attendance cards, licenses, certificates, seals, badges, awards, etc;
f. Oral history or memoirs of those who witnessed major events;
g. Compilation of art materials, collection of essays, speeches on activities, rules and regulations, planning programs, scientific research reports, etc.
 
III. Requirements of Collection
 
1. Guarantee for legitimacy of the collections. The provider is legally and financially responsible for the legitimacy of the collections.
2. The collection offered by the provider must be a collection that has not inscribed or included in the collection process of any other organizations.
3. The information of the collection shall not be provided to a third party after receiving the confirmation result from the museum.
4. The process of literature collection should be carried out in accordance with the procedures stipulated in the Administrative Methods for Collecting Artistic Collections of Guangdong Museum of Art. For all the collections with confirmed intention of collection, all procedures need to be completed in accordance with the Methods before relevant agreements are signed.
 
IV. Ways of Collection
 
1. Collection will be conducted with strict accordance with relevant laws and regulations including Cultural Relics Protection Law of the People's Republic of China, Implementation Regulations on Cultural Relics Protection Law of the People's Republic of China, Charity Law of the People's Republic of China, Regulations on Museums, etc.
2. By setting up a Literature Collection Administration Committee, Guangdong Museum of Art strengthens and standardizes the management of collection activities, and has the final decision-making discretion over such activities.
3. After the Literature Collection Administration Committee’s decision on collection of the materials, Guangdong Museum of Art will sign a donation agreement with the donor on the ownership and use of the rights and interests of the materials to be donated in terms of collection and storage, research and utilization, as well as organization and development. An authorization document should also be signed where authorization of copyrights is involved. Once the materials to be donated are registered for reception, as a token of appreciation, Guangdong Museum of Art will issue a donation certificate to the donor, who will be acknowledged and rewarded in an appropriate manner.
4. Mailing objects intended for donation to the Museum is kindly advise against, as the Museum does not accept on-site selection.
