小康路上——广东基层美术创作展
Path to A Moderately Prosperous Society：Exhibition of Artworks by Artists at the Primary Level in Guangdong
为了贯彻落实习近平总书记关于宣传思想工作的重要思想和文化文艺工作的重要论述的重要实践，并进一步促进广东美术事业持续健康繁荣发展的重要举措。广东美术馆与广东省美术家协会策展委员会共同主办的“小康路上——广东基层美术创作展”是从广东省籍或长期活跃于广东的艺术家中层层遴选产生。这批作品着重表现岭南文化历史，凸显改革开放以来的建设成就，反映出广东人民全面建成小康社会的历程和成果。
2020年是打赢脱贫攻坚战全面建成小康社会的收官之年。区域和城乡发展不平衡不充分问题，仍是广东人民全面建成小康社会的迫切问题。为全面回顾和展示广东省在中国共产党的领导下决胜全面小康、决战脱贫攻坚各项事业所取得的伟大成就，呈现基层干部群众艰苦奋斗、追梦圆梦的感人事迹。广东美术馆与广东省美术家协会策展委员会希望通过本次展览，给予他们更多的关注和支持。
本次展览自6月初发布作品征集消息以来，收到了大量广东省基层美术创作者的踊跃投稿，参与热情高涨，作品呈现有高度有深度。最后，依据专家投票情况评选出近百件作品展出，作品种类包括国画、版画、油画、雕塑、水彩、综合媒材等等。题材丰富多样，充分反映了广东本土文化、表现现实生活，在创作媒介、艺术风格和作品母题方面进行了具有个人特色的创新探索，呈现出党的十八大以来全省基层群众生活的喜人变化，也展现出了展现当代广东美术基层创作的优秀成果以及中华文化在当代的传承、创新与发展，彰显出鲜明的时代特色和风采。特别是很多参评作品创作于“新冠”疫情期间，艺术家用他们的画笔生动地描绘出奋斗在抗疫一线各行各业的工作人员，让抗疫生活与事迹有了更多的艺术表达。本次展览将为观众呈现出一次精彩的视觉盛宴，也将进一步推动广东文艺事业的繁荣与发展。
广东美术馆和广东省美术家协会策展委员会作为华南地区重要的策展与学术研究机构和团体，一直致力于推动区域策展事业的发展。自“美术馆管理与策展——2018年广东省美术馆馆长高级研修班”举办以来，这是广东美术馆与策委会的又一次密切合作。如果说研修班让各级美术馆馆长有了更多交流与学习的机会，那么类似的展览将给予广大基层艺术工作者更多展示其艺术成果的机会，如此形式的活动或展览，将形成一种常态化的机制，助力广东省美术与艺术管理专业人才不断成长。

Introduction
Guangdong Museum of Art is joining hands with the Curating Committee of Guangdong Artists Association to organize an exhibition, Path to A Moderately Prosperous Society：Exhibition of Artworks by Artists at the Primary Level in Guangdong. Exhibits of the event will be selected from artists who were born and bred in Guangdong or those who have been active in the art circle within the province. Aimed at presenting the culture and history of Guangdong and highlighting the achievements made since China’s Reform and Opening Up, the exhibits will demonstrate what the people of Guangdong have been through and achieved in building a moderately prosperous society.
The year 2020 is the final and vital year for China to ensure victory in the the battle against poverty and build a moderately prosperous society in all respects. Unbalanced and inadequate development between different regions as well as urban and rural areas remains a pressing issue for Guangdong in successfully building a moderately prosperous society in all respects. To review and present Guangdong’s great achievements in securing a decisive victory in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects and in poverty alleviation under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, and tell touching stories of the government officials and the general public at the primary level, Guangdong Museum of Art and the Curating Committee of Guangdong Artists Association hope to attract more care and support for primary level officials and people.
Since the news of soliciting artworks was released in early June, a great number of works by artists at the primary level in Guangdong have been received. Besides all this enthusiasm, their works are of high artistic value and bear deep meanings. A total of around 100 works were selected by experts to be exhibited including Chinese painting, printmaking, oil painting, sculpture and mixed media works. These works fully reflect local culture and people’s everyday life. Moreover, innovative explorations on media of art, artistic style and theme with distinctive personal characteristics were made to showcase the satisfactory changes in the life of people at the primary level since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
