AS PART of the nationwide exhibition season of art museums showing their own collections, the Guangdong Museum of Art presents a series of art works featuring woodcut and Cantonese prints to show visitors some less common art forms and also a special period in Chinese history where they came into being.
Works on display are representative pieces from the 1930s through the founding of new China. They will be classified into three categories, each reflecting on a different theme: revealing and criticizing society; praising the revolution and the liberation army; and works by Guangdong artists.
